APCM on April 25th. Every year, our PCC invites new members to stand for election as 3 stand down at the end of their term. This is to allow for “new blood” and fresh ideas. The PCC is a committee of parishioners who work with the incumbent to keep the church running. 3 main meetings annually. Each person has something unique to bring; if you could offer your time and talents, please speak to the Churchwardens or PCC Secretary. Nominations for election to the PCC to Alison McGhee, PCC Secretary.
Churchwarden – Isabel’s term as Churchwarden finishes during the late spring. Please do give some prayerful thought as to whether you could fulfil the role and support Liz.
In addition, there are many important roles, all of which contribute to the life of the church. It’s not necessary to be a member of the PCC to carry these out. Here are two; could you help with either of these?
· Fundraising – Don’t forget we still need ideas and effort to raise money as we continue to recoup the £46,000 expended on last year’s tower repair work.
· The PCC needs a Charitable Giving coordinator to provide information about and generally promote our chosen charities.
Compton Area. Prints of works of art depicting Christ’s death and resurrection.
During April this church is supporting Mukinge Hospital in Zambia. After services, you can make your donations using the special collection dish; found either at the church door or in the Compton area.
New Forest Basics Bank aims to provide support and help to individuals and families in need. The collecting box is in church. You are welcome to bring donations of non perishable food and hygiene items whenever the church is open, which will support those in need.
