Lyndhurst and District Carers’ Café

This ‘drop-in’ café is held on the afternoon of the 1st Thursday of every month between 1.30pm until about 4pm at the Baptist Church Hall, Chapel Lane, Lyndhurst.  Run for carers of all descriptions who might enjoy an hour or two relaxing with other carers and professionals, it provides ‘free time’ to chat, moan, laugh, or cry, in the company of others dealing with similar problems.  Very informal, no speakers, etc., just time to talk, relax and enjoy tea or coffee with delicious refreshments: sandwiches, cakes, etc.  No charge is made to those attending (a donation box is available).  Easy, level parking, and toilet facilities for the disabled are available so the person being cared for could come too if wished.

Refreshments and kitchen staffing provided by folk from all five churches in the area: St. Michael and All Angels (Lyndhurst), Christ Church (Emery Down), All Saints’ (Minstead), Lyndhurst Roman Catholic and Lyndhurst Baptist Churches, working under the auspices of Churches Together.  Some people have been coming for years, so it must be a well-regarded monthly event.  Why not give it a try?  You will be made most welcome.

Contact for further details, if needed, from: Peter J. Nicholls on 023 8028 2378.
